1.11 What to do if my visa is delayed

Do not worry.  We do allow students to arrive later than the published start date.   We allow two weeks for 3-term Foundation, International Year One and Pre-Masters programmes.

It is one week late for Academic English, Study Abroad with English and 4-term Foundation, International Year One and Pre-Masters programmes.

The important thing is to keep us up to date.

If you miss the final arrival deadline do not travel unless you have express permission by the Centre.  Otherwise you may arrive too late and you will need to return home immediately.

If you miss the first week, you will have missed out on in person induction events.  However, we will have pre-recorded talks that you can listen to in the INTO Newcastle University Student Support Community in Canvas.

In the meantime, take the time you are waiting to look at Section 3 – Pre-arrival course materials, starting with 3.1 Reading and understanding feedback.

If you are late you will need to catch-up on missed work, so please made every effort to arrive on time.

Please note that we cannot contact the UK authorities to speed up the visa application process so you will need to be patient.
